It has come to our attention that several factions/websites/facebook pages have taken the incident at Angulana to an unethical level by utilizing it for their personal agendas to depict and if not create various political and religious conflicts within the Sri Lankan people.

Upon the investigations held today by the Angulana Police, we would like to bring to the attention of the general public and respectable media that no such high-handed forces or influences were behind the attack on the St. Francis Xavier's Catholic Church of the Rawatawatta Parish. It is now very clear that the incident has been linked to a conflict within the Angulana area and can no longer be facilitated as a job of outside parties nor have we ever stated as such thus we expect such false news to be corrected.
