The Awrudu Ulela was held. A traditional Welcome was given to the Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Tyronne Perera, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Prasanna Fernando and Daham Pasal Principal Mr. Benildus.

Afterwards they proceeded to the unique lightning of the traditional and yet colorful oil lamp in Awrudu style, many traditional Sinhala Awrudu games were held. Many Parishioners regardless of age participated in these events some of which were full of humor and enjoyment.

At the Final stage the Parish Priest and Assistant Parish Priest also took part in the passing of the egg in which Rev. Fr. Prasanna Fernando missed the egg.

Finally the Tug-gar war was held between various groups of Parishioners.
