The festive high mass of the Lunawa Ss. Peter and Paul's Church was conducted. Rev. Fr. Jayantha Fernando was the chief celebrant while Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera (Parish Priest) and Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando (Assistant Parish Priest) was present at the Festive Mass.

A large number of devotees overflowed the church as the final blessing was given. Thereafter in tradition, Milk rice was blessed and distributed.
