The Parishioners of Rawatawatte welcomed His Eminence Most. Rev. Dr. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith at the borders of the Church grounds. Most. Rev. Anthony Fernandopulle and the Parish Priests Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera and Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando, son of soil Rev. Fr. Gihan Gunathileka, Rev. Fr. Geevantha Peiris, Rev. Fr. Ranjith Madurawela (General Manager of Catholic Private Schools, Former Parish Priest) together with several other Priests in the diocese were present at the occasion.

His Eminence declared open the newly renovated church of Rawatawatte and dedicated it to "Mother Mary" Queen Of Angels' and then proceeded to bless the renovated altar of the church which Holy Mass then followed upon.

His Eminence also met the Chief incumbent of the Veluwanarama Temple Most. Venerable Wadduwe Deepasiri.

After Holy Mass Parishioners of Rawatawatte presented His Eminence a wood carved picture of His Eminence. Also Parishioners who worked day and night throughout to make this Jubilee possible were given special awards of appreciation. The newly renovated Mission House was also blessed and opened by his Eminence after the Holy Mass.
