After taking the Jubilee statue in procession to the temporary road side sanctuary, the Feast Flag of the Queen of Angels' Church was raised for the 50th Jubilee with the blessing and prayers of Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera (Parish Pirest), Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando (Assistant Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Prasanna Fernando (Former Asst. Priest) and Rev. Fr. Malaka Silva (Former Asst. Priest). A enormous gathering was also present consisting of parishioners and non-parishioners.

As the Flag staff was hoisted using a new gear wheel system, the Parishioners celebrated its success with humble faces as the fears of completing jubilee projects and church renovations in-time for the festive high mass seems on uncertain ground.

But thoughts are positive among the contractor, designers and people behind the scene as they race to complete the tallest and most beautiful Roman Catholic Church in the whole of Moratuwa in just 12 Days!
