Parishioners of the Rawatawatta Queen of Angels' Church gave a grand welcome to son of soil Rev. Fr. Sameera Shashimal Perera who hails from the Parish church of Angulana. Rev. Fr. Ranjith Madurawela (Manager of Catholics Schools), Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera (Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando (Assistant Parish Priest) were present at the celebration.

Rev. Fr. Sammera born 7th of May 1982 first entered into the Haputhele minor seminary in the year 2003 and was later made Deacon by Most Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph on 27th of October 2012 before being ordained as a Priest of the Badulla Diocese by His Grace the Bishop of Badulla Most Rev. Dr. J. Winston. S. Fernando S.S.S. on the 27th of April 2013, he is the second Catholic Priest from the Angulana community who rejoices the almighty for making them such a fortunate community.
