New Year morning masses were conducted throughout the Parish. At the main church of Rawathawatte the Parish Priests officially launched the Parish Year plans and the mass was organized by the Zone leaders representing the entire Parish.

Fr. Freddie Shanthi Kumar (Coordinator for Formation of Youth, Y.C.S.,Children & Vocation - Colombo South Region), Rev. Fr. Chrispin Leo, Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera, Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando, Rev. Fr. Neil were chief celebrants at masses.

After mass, the traditional "Ganu Denu" was done.
