Parishioners of the Lunawa Ss. Peter and Pauls' Church organized a surprise celebration in accordance with the 15th Ordination Anniversary of their Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera. The Parish Priest was bought in the motorcade accompanied by a Police escort to the Lunawa junction were he was welcomed by the Parishioners of Rawatawatte, Lunawa and Angulana as well as his relatives.

Afterwords the Parishioners went to the church in procession where Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera conducted the mass as the chief celebrant. Rev. Fr. Ernest Pooruthota who is residing in Lunawa organized a special souvenir for the Parish Priest and was handed over after the mass. The Parishioners did not forget to ask the Parish Priest to cut a cake in tradition.
