His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksha together with the Archbishop of Colombo his Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith made a visit at Prem Nivasa for Christmas. Many diplomats from various political bodies were present including Hon. Jeewan Kumaranatunga (Minister of Moratuwa) and Hon. Saman Lal Fernando (Mayor of Moratuwa). Also present was the chairperson for the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) Mrs. Anoma Dissanayake together with many other representatives of the Government of Sri Lanka.

His Excellency the distributed gifts for the mentally and physically disabled children of the children's home and appreciated the humble service done by the Prem Nivasa and the Sister's of the Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa.

The Parish Priests of Rawathawatte Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera (Parish Priest) and Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando (Assistant Parish Priest) together with many religious was also present at the occasion. Afterwards His Eminence also inspected the construction progress of the new building of Prem Nivasa before leaving.
