St. Anthony's Relic Statue

St. Anthony's relic statue which contains the tongue of St. Anthony has been bought down from Italy to Sri Lanka. The relic statue travels around the Island to bless the Catholic community. The parishioners of Rawathwatte were able to receive the blessing from the statue as the Statue was stopped in front of the Queen Of Angels' Church amongst Police and Army escorts. The Parish Priests as well as many parishioners worked night through dawn to make this possible with a very short notice.
