Vespers service at the Angulana St. Francis Xavier's Church was held by Rev. Fr. Malaka Silva (a former Assistant Parish Priest) together with Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera (Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Gromith Cooray, and Bro. Samira. Rev. Fr. Prasanna Feranando (Assistant Parish Priest) was active behind the sense guiding everyone for a successful vespers mass.

A book which was printed on behalf of the 140th anniversary of the church was unveiled and presented to the celebrants after the final blessing. The vespers mass was concluded with the serving of a delicious meal for all the devotees young and old. Many, together with Rev. Fr. Prasanna took pain to successfully complete this event despite heavy rains and flood conditions in the island.
